This was a booklet I suppose we gave to tourists, though
I never recall handing one out.

This is the front side of my Qual card. Several items
have a red line through them. That was the result of
the Qual Card Book disapearance! We all had an idea
who might have deep sixed it, but no one every went
to mast!

The
following are pictures taken during the summer of 73 Med run.
I had a Polaroid camera, and the pictures have lost some crispness
over time.
Lapon earned a NUC for operations during the Yom Kippor war
during this deployment!

topside in June of 73. He was from "The Land Between

A little blurry to be sure. This was taken outside the
enlisted club on La Mad. The subject is Bob Mclaughlin.
The note on the back of the picture says "Bob doing
his Wolfman Jack."

Outside the enlisted club in La Mad. This is Tom Kenney.
The caption on the back reads "Hack." Maybe that's a
nickname I've forgotten. He was from Connecticut and
had a great New England accent.

This is Terry Pinner. You can see the tender and the
boat behind him. I recall that he had a great red Mustang
muscle car, and that one of the guys wrapped it around
a phone pole for him.
